St Paul’s Way secondary School and Sixth Form is an exceptional school where all of our students matter, where expectations of all the members within our community are high and where achievement and fulfilment are valued and sought after. To this end we are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Co-Curriculum Coordinator to lead and strengthen the delivery of our wider co-curricular programme across Key Stage 3 or 4, which encompasses six domains: enrichment and trips, student leadership, social action and service, careers and aspiration personal development and public speaking. In addition, this role is integral to supporting our three-year journey of character development for students:

  • Year 7: Fostering student leadership skills
  • Year 8: Supporting leadership accreditation opportunities
  • Year 9: Coordinating the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award

The successful candidate will play a key role in raising student aspirations by enhancing academic attainment, personal development, and CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance). You will be responsible for tracking and promoting student engagement in enrichment activities, facilitating targeted interventions through internal and external partnerships, and leading on academic stretch and challenge initiatives for High Attaining Pupils (HAPs) across the key stage.

You will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student, and a robust commitment to ensuring that every student in the Key Stage succeeds. You will be a highly organised and willing to contribute to the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership skills in order to:

  • build on the considerable success of the co-curriculum in recent years, maintaining a high level of passion and commitment to ensuring students have a varied and high quality co-curricular experience
  • work closely with the co-curricular team to continue to raise standards and improve co-curricular opportunities for our students
  • lead staff CPD and consistent monitoring and evaluation of the provision.
  • Support a comprehensive co-curricular programme across the school and the sixth form that includes transition from primary school, Post 16 and higher education.
  • motivate, inspire and support all our staff, and work closely with the governors, Deputy Head and school leaders, parents and the local community We are at an exciting time of expansion as St Paul’s Way Trust School continues as the lead school within the ‘University Schools Trust’.
