St Paul’s Way Trust is an outstanding ‘Through School’ with a track record of innovation. Drawing extensively on academic research, the school provides a unique curriculum experience centred on our vision of a “transformational education for all.”

At SPW we provide an environment where you can deliver a transformational education. To do this we have crafted an approach to teaching and learning in which:

  • Staff use whole class feedback models instead of written marking, combined with only two data drops a year
  • We run a centralised behaviour system
  • Teaching staff enjoy the highest proportion of timetabled planning and preparation time in the borough.

Beyond this, collaboration underpins a staff development model in which every teacher benefits from fortnightly coaching, in addition to timetabled subject specific training  during the school day.

We also appreciate that delivering excellence requires flexibility. We have adapted to include online parents evening meetings and having fortnightly PPA time from home, where timetabling allows.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and knowledgeable progress leader for sixth form. The post would be suitable for an experienced teacher who would like to develop their skills and expertise in a high performing and well-resourced sixth form, offering A levels and vocational study.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to ambitious provision ensuring the best outcomes and destination for every learner, built around a challenging curricular offer, a broad co-curricular offer and a bespoke higher education programme. You will be joining an incredibly hard-working and passionate team and will work under dynamic and supportive management.  The sixth form team works collaboratively to continue to raise attainment but also provide the nurturing and supportive pastoral provision our students need to be effective graduates of the sixth form, ready for a competitive life after sixth form.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has a calm, professional and approachable manner to support the raising of attainment of all students in the sixth form whilst meeting the pastoral and co-curricular needs
  • Will contribute to an inspiring, innovative and caring team
  • Is passionate about students’ entitlement to powerful knowledge, experiences and growth in and outside the classroom
  • Is proactive and has exceptional classroom skills, communication and organisation
  • Has a relentless commitment to working with students, families and the community to ensure success

We will offer:

  • Enthusiastic, courteous and considerate students who behave well and have good attitudes to learning and being proactive members of the sixth form community
  • An exceptional, well-resourced learning environment
  • A supportive and friendly team of staff.

Please note we reserve the right to close this advert early.

We do not accept CVs alone.
